Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
Crisp texture, great flavor for weight loss surgery friend side dish
Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
I found the original recipe on Pinterest on the website how2doketo.com and modified it to fit the bariatric diet.
I don’t know about you but I tend to love brussels sprouts but not make them terribly often. Maybe it’s the smell. Maybe it’s cutting them in half. Sometimes they don’t come out as well as I had hoped.
Since brussels sprouts in my Air Fryer for the first time last week, I have already made them twice!
Between the grated parmesan cheese, the grill seasonings and the crushed almonds then Air Fryed, the texture is so good. Great tip from the original recipe to boil them first, then cut and then air fry.
The house doesn’t get smelly (okay, the leftovers were a little smelly) and the work seemed mild and well worth it.
What to pair it with
The first time I made the Brussels Sprouts I paired it with Baked Blackened Chicken. The second time I made them I paired it with these Buffalo Pork Chops (member recipe).

- Move to the bowl of your air fryer. Cook for 15 minutes at 375 F.

These were super tasty. I loved the crunch and flavor it gave. These will def be a repeat.
I’m so glad you enjoyed them Susana!
I’m on the soft phase can I eat these or can they be pureed a little?
That will depend on how your program has listed out their soft phase. My programs held off on all vegetables so that your tummy space was only used on protein and vegetables came back in the regular diet. Every program is so incredibly different how they organize it, I would check your info from them!
I love brussel sprouts but not a big fan of almonds. Can another nut be substituted like walnut or pistacio?
Yes, absolutely! That sounds like a great swap.
