Heat oven to 375.
Use a cast iron skillet if possible or another oven proof skillet. Add ground beef/turkey and dried minced garlic. Drain.
Add diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning to the ground meat. Use a large spoon to make room for large pepper halves. Use the spoon to scoop meat mixture into the peppers. Move the whole skillet to the heated oven.
Bake another 15-25 minutes, depending on how soft you prefer the bell pepper to be. For longer cook time, consider adding more tomatoes or broth to maintain moisture.
