Simple Italian Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

green bell peppers, seeded and cut in half
1
lb
93% lean ground turkey
1
cup
low sugar marinara sauce
lowest sugar available

tbsp
Italian seasoning
2
tbsp
shredded low-fat mozzarella for topping
Instructions
Heat oven to 350F.
Brown the ground turkey, add seasonings and stir until cooked. Add marinara sauce and stir to combine.
After bell peppers have been seeded and cut in half, place on a cookie sheet or baking pan. Scoop meat mixture into the bell peppers halves.
Bake at 350F for 15 minutes or longer if you like softer bell peppers. Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese. Let cool slightly and serve.
