Salisbury Steak with Mushroom & Barbecue Sauce – WLS Recipe
Salisbury Steak with Mushroom & Barbecue Sauce – WLS Recipe
I’ve never made salisbury steak, but I secretly loved when it was served in the lunchroom growing up. For some reason, my friends made fun of it…and scoffed at it. Most of the time I would be brave and get it anyway. Other times I wasn’t prepared for their ridicule of my delicious mystery meat.
When I usually come across recipes for Salisbury Steak, it involves a gravy sauce for the top. It’s the traditional way. However, while playing on my Kraft Foods app on my Smart Phone….I found a great alternative that I could work with. Small adaptations and I was on my way!
Mr. W gave it two thumbs up. I loved it…like…loved it. Not sure what it is about this savory meal…but it’s something awesome!

We had this tonight and in the words of my bf “It’s a keeper!!” haha I made 3 patties (1 for lunch tomorrow) with half the meat mixture. I used all the mushrooms as the recipe calls for and it was just enough for the 2 patties :( If you eat mushrooms like my beau then I would recommend doubling the sauce recipe. I added garlic and onions to the mushrooms before adding the BBQ. This was amazing and YES we will be having it again very soon!
Awesome tasting and easy to make. Love this recipe!
