Product Review: Quest Vanilla Protein Powder

Quest Vanilla Protein Powder | Bariatric Product Review | FoodCoachMe

Name of Product:  Quest® Protein Powder (Vanilla)

Where it was purchased: HyVee ‘Health Food Section’  (local grocery store in the Midwest)

Cost: $34.99 for 32 servings

How it might be used: Protein shakes primarily, also protein pancakes :)

Thoughts/Review: With the varying prices of protein powders it can be hard to spend $35 on a tub you haven’t tried. Great news here – you can buy Quest® protein powders in single sizes to make sure you like it! I knew I liked using this powder mostly because of the texture. It dissolves very well and the sweetness is not overpowering to me. If you find protein powders are too sweet, try cutting the sweetness with half flavored and half unflavored powder like this “not too sweet” vanilla protein shakeI found this protein powder works great in just about any recipe I’ve used it in so far.

NUTRITION:

Serving size is one scoop and provides 22 grams protein, 3 grams carbohydrates (with less than 1 gram sugar) and 0.5 grams fat. Many protein powders fit a similar breakdown so to be honest – this is what I would come to expect from Quest® as a brand! They nailed it on the nutrition profile. Whey Protein Isolate as a form of protein in the ingredient list is awesome…isolates are the best absorbed form of protein so this is a great product! This product is soy free and gluten free.
