This title makes me think of Friends! Any avid Friends watcher would know every episode title begins with “the one that…” I digress.

Hello everyone! I just HAD to post such an exciting and celebratory event! So many of you have been following Kevin and I on this journey and covering us with prayer and get well wishes. Something this exciting needs to be shared with all those around us.

Monday of this past week I was able to say goodbye to the “CTO” brace. Can you tell I’m a little happy!? This past week I have felt the most like myself yet! Little by little, I feel as though Steph is returning!!!!

And with that will come the Food Coach Me recipes! I highly anticipate I will be back to it very quickly. I get so much joy out of finding fun ways to make meals that fit diet restrictions. I always love getting positive feedback that it’s helpful, because that’s my primary goal! When I went to school to become a dietitian, I always knew it was because I wanted to walk alongside others who struggle with food, weight, and body image. I’m so thankful to have such a fun platform like this blog, and the past couple months it has moved from a recipe site to help others into a place where YOU all help me. What a beautiful thing.

So in the near future I anticipate recipes to be coming back as well as continued stories of our journey. I still have hopes of getting weekly meal plans together and reviewing different products, phone apps, restaurants and more!

I still can’t say Thank You enough for all the support! If you have ever been in a difficult situation like this, you know what even a short message can do for you. It means more than you could ever think. I wish I could wrap my arms around everyone, but instead, just visualize that’s what I’m doing in the picture above!

“When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.” Psalm 118:5-6 NIV

  1. So excited for you girl!!! Joy is certainly radiating from you in the picture above! I will have to pay attention to your Food Coach Me blog now that I know it’s here. I have altered my diet recently and could use the extra advice and recipes! God bless you and Kevin!

  2. Our Enid support group has been praying for you and we are so happy that you are getting better. You look wonderful. I love your attitude and as always your great big smile. God Bless!!!

  3. You’re doing such an amazing job! I am inspired by your progress and trust in the Lord. Even in our darkest hours, He is to be praised and I, for one, am so grateful to hear you are continually doing just that.
I pray for continued success and that all those blessings are felt by you and your family.
A friend of mine says the following constantly and I’ve been using it too on difficult days. “We can do hard things.”
Take care and know you are in my prayers!

  4. Steph,

  5. You look fantastic – very healthy and happy. Your posts are so uplifting. I love hearing about your progress. Keep it up!!!!

  6. I am a close friend of Jan and just love all of the Wagner’s. I have been praying for you long before Kevin ever met you. Five of us,including Jan…especially Jan…have prayed for Kevin’s future bride for years! Those prayers greatly intensified this last month and a half. So grateful that the Lord has chosen to heal you both. He must have something wonderful in store for the two of you. From everything Jan says, you are a wonderful girl! Cant wait to meet you soon. Delighting with you this day! Before and behind….love, Mary Murphy

  7. Just to encourage you on the recipe front. I have a hot cocoa recipe for you that fits Weight Wise criteria.

I use the Silk unsweetened almond milk that is 30 calories a serving, Cocoa and Stevia.

I use a 4 cup or larger measuring cup to make mixing and pouring easier.

    1 C Almond Milk 30 Calories
    3 T Cocoa 30 Calories
1/4 C Stevia Sweetener ( I use the Stevia in the raw in a bag for this)
I mix this together in the 4 cup measuring cup and then I boil enough water to increase the volumn to 4 cups. This makes 4 1 C servings at 15 calories each which fits into the Weight Wise 15 calories or less per serving on beverages.

  8. PRAISE THE LORD! So happy that you are doing better in recovery everyday and that you are looking so very happy. Looking forward to your help with recipes. But most important that YOU are blessing to so many people. Prayers!!!
