I believe that cooking should be fun-yet realistic! We all have busy lifestyles and demanding schedules. For that reason, the recipes I make take an average of 20 to 30 minutes and only 5 to 8 ingredients.

All recipes are protein based, low-carb and perfect for Bariatric Surgery patients to lose weight and feel their best. The cookbook focuses on easy dinners including sections on beef, chicken, turkey, pork, fish, eggs and veggies.

Recipes are written for patients who have had the Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass, Gastric Banding and Duadenal Switch Surgeries. You can have peace of mind knowing these recipes have been written by a dietitian for your best health!
No complicated ingredients that take a special trip to a fancy grocery store. All ingredients are everyday items you've heard and recipes are written to take thirty minutes or less to prepare from start to finish.
Just like having the box top to look at for a puzzle, every recipe has a photo (taken by me, the autor!) so you know what your meal will look like. We eat with our eyes first!
Because I don't focus on calorie counting in my practice, the recipes in the cookbook do not include caloric information. Instead, I coach patients in my practice to focus on lean protein and vegetables and to listen to their own cues for fullness instead of obsessing over the numbers. For this reason, the cookbook features recipes that fit the nutrition guidelines in my practice without all the numbers. Just the peace of mind that it's a great meal for you!! Recipes can be added easily to online food journals!
