If you’re an avid griller…you already know what I’m going to say.

If you have an awesome grill pan…you probably know too.

We all get excited about “one pot wonders” and slow cooker meals because..well…they are easy to make and easier to clean up! If you aren’t utilizing your grill or grill pan for a super fast protein and vegetable meal, here’s why you need to start:

Case Study #1:

Using my grill safe pan on my outdoor grill, I was able to layer seasoning zucchini and fit two chicken breasts all at the same time. Meat and veggies cooking all at once! Here’s a little photo evidence…

Here’s what I did:

  • Rubbed chicken with Lemon Pepper seasoning
  • Marinated zucchini with a cup of bottle Herb & Garlic Marinade
  • Layered zucchini mostly evenly on grill pan and place chicken breast around it on a preheated outdoor grill
  • Shut the lid and grilled for ten minutes. Opened grill, moved zucchini around and flipped chicken.
  • Grilled another 10 minutes, removed zucchini. Left chicken a few more minutes until internal temp read 165F
  • Served in a clean kitchen because I had the time!! :)

Case Study #2:

This time I use using an indoor grill pan on my stove top. I had marinated my chicken (a recipe I will be posting on Monday)  and decided to cook it inside. A few minutes into cooking I decided to throw a few mini sweet peppers on the stove with it. Enter photo:

Viola! Once again a one grill-pan wonder. I flipped the peppers every so often and flipped the chicken just once after about 10 minutes of cooking. Made sure the internal temp read 165 and once again….ate dinner in a clean kitchen minus the one dirty pan :)

If you haven’t yet, make use of your grill and grill pan for a fast and easy way to get a lean meat and vegetable dinner on the table. This is the perfect meal for postop bariatric surgery patients!
